Additionally, we have undertaken substantial large-scale works for Rochdale Council.
In the context of these achievements, it’s noteworthy that the Calderdale Local Plan, adopted on 22 March 2023 with Full Council approval, is a pivotal document superseding the Replacement Calderdale Unitary Development Plan from August 2006. This plan is instrumental in achieving the Council’s core objectives, including addressing the climate emergency, reducing inequalities, and fostering the development of robust and thriving towns and places.
Aligned with the Vision 2024 for Calderdale, which focuses on the themes of distinctiveness, resilience, and enterprise, the Calderdale Local Plan serves as a framework guiding planning decisions. It outlines strategic locations for new jobs, homes, and services, and its policies are instrumental in directing investment and development while preserving the natural and historic environment.
Moreover, the plan facilitates adaptation to climate change and promotes high-quality design standards, aligning with the overall goals and priorities of Calderdale Council.
