360 Drone Footage
Spherical Pano
Often used in conjunction with our virtual tour, we used cutting-edge drone technology to capture stunning 360-degree spherical footage of Clitheroe Castle from various angles and elevations.
This immersive aerial perspective provides viewers with a bird’s-eye view of the castle’s sprawling grounds, offering a unique vantage point to appreciate the wider landscape and how the Castle sits within the town of Clitheroe.
By combining multiple Pano’s, the viewer can skip to different viewpoints around a building.
Photogrammetry Model
Utilising the M300 drone and LiDAR Unit, we created high-resolution aerial imagery to construct precise 3D models of the castle and its surroundings.
This Photogrammetry model of the Castle can be viewed and manipulated via this link.
Utilising the drone for this service is often faster, more cost-effective, and safer than traditional ground-based surveying methods.
This technique allows for meticulous documentation of the castle’s architecture and terrain, offering invaluable insights into its structural condition and requirements needed to preserve the structure.

Virtual Tour
We utilised our service ‘Virtual Tour 3D” to create an interactive tour of the Castle. Leveraging the power of digital rendering, this immersive experience allows users to explore every nook and cranny of the castle.
The Virtual Tour combines various useful features including; a ‘Doll House’ view of the location, information ‘Tags’ of specific features which can link to other media, and an automatic ‘highlight reel’ which walks through the tour.
Clitheroe Castle
Last but not least, Site Surveying Services employed laser scanning technology to meticulously capture the intricate details of Clitheroe Castle’s architecture. Through the precise measurement of millions of data points, this technique enables the creation of highly accurate 3D models, ensuring that no aspect of the castle’s structure is overlooked.
The collaboration between Site Surveying Services and Tri-Tech Surveys represents a milestone in the preservation and documentation of historical landmarks. By harnessing the power of advanced scanning techniques, Clitheroe Castle has been immortalised in digital form, ensuring that future generations can continue to appreciate its beauty and significance for years to come.
